For 30 years
Since the 1990s, Unicum produce motors for swimming pool covers. Major investments in production and quality assurance have been made to offer the best technologies in terms of safety, reliability, ease of assembly, use and maintenance.

UNImot, ABRImot, new uses, new motors
More compact and more universal, UNImot has joined the range of traditional geared motors (DL and PL), benefiting from patents, the high customisation capacity of standard products and even better cost control.
Friction-free magnetic brake / Remote IP68 control card providing 2 dry contacts / Reinforced output shaft made of steel, with black oxide treatment / Mechanical adjustment of the limit switches / Front and back adapter flanges made of solid PVC manufactured according to customer’s tube dimensions are some of the advantages offered by these new motors.
But the applications for geared motors, which are perfectly adapted to the world of swimming pools by design, do not stop at the motorization of the pool covers. For swimming pool shelters, but also sliding terraces, the comfort of users obviously depends on motorized solutions to open and close them.
This is why UNICUM has created the ABRImot concept, an obvious extension of its motor technology with reinforced sealing, and whose main advantage is to offer two coaxial outputs for a perfect torque share on both output shafts. A particularly original design that perfectly balances the torque and output speed of these two drive shafts. From there, opening and uncovering the pool without imbalance between the drive rollers at each end becomes child’s play.
Quality, Maintenance, Home Automation, the keys to the future.
Quality assurance and maintenance services are far from being forgotten in the process. The reorganization of these activities, and the test benches, make it possible to guarantee products that fully comply with their technical specifications and qualify the various engines at 100% when they leave the factory.
A first smartphone application was also launched in 2018. It allows installers to collect technical data recorded during end-of-manufacture inspections anywhere and at any time. A simple smartphone flash on the engine QR code and all the technical data of this engine is instantly available to assist in on-site diagnostics.
One of UNICUM’s latest advances is its resolute entry into the world of home automation. Resulting of close cooperation with one of the leaders in the sector, we now offers the control of your installations using a simple smartphone.
